Satoru Tamura

Born in Tochigi in 1972. Graduated from the University of Tsukuba, School of Art and Design (department of mixed media).
Under them of “destruction or extinguish of the meaning”, trying to create works that have no background or thoughts. Most of the works use electricity, which sometimes rotates the solid crocodile model, or becomes a scale to quantify the beauty, or glimmering the lamp by contacting positive and negative electrodes. It can also be said that Tamura’s works eliminated the utility of itself, which has some kinds of humor that leads to the audience’s laughter and peek through the cynical point of view.
