Tets Ohnari
Born in 1980 in Tokyo and currently lives in the Czech Republic. Graduated from Nihon University College of Art(Department of sculpture) and Academy of Arts, Architecture, and Design in Prague. Finished M.A. at the Tokyo University of Arts. Create sculptures and installations by using glass, stone, and wood. Under the theme of the phenomenon or relationship that appears when humans apply their hands and make some changes to objects, these concepts or elements are being established on the two sides of the same coin (for example, “light and shadow”, “creation and disruption”, “sensation and logic”, “objective and subjective”…), suggesting to the audience that every things or activity are all equal in terms of value by containing the contradicted act or opposite sign into one artwork.
